I have all the answers, but you won't listen.
Your faults and insecurities are held so close.
So I say nothing.
A little bit of what you want to hear.
Enough to drop the subject.
I tell you something real.
But your response only shows that you don't understand.

simon.. do you think people write poetry because they don't know how to say what they've got to say any other way.. or because they want a more powerful way to say what they want to say?
That's a cool question. Right now my answer would be definately both. Differing degrees of either. Poetry gives you a freedom to write that a novel or essay would overcomplicate.
