I am a Flame

I decided two things today; I want to write a poem every day for this site and I want to experiment with mediums I am not used to. I picked haiku today:

Pain is like a fire,
There are two fires that burn,
The lit and the flame.

The lit has been hurt,
The pain did not come alone,
It was set ablaze.

The flame set the fire,
It burns by its own accord,
The pain is felt too.

The flame shall be out,
When the lit no longer burns,
No longer feels the pain.

The flame shall burn on,
Should the lit never go dark,
Its fate has been sealed.

The pain that we cause,
Shall cause us eternal pain,
If we are not freed.

Forgiveness is life,
Given back to the damned soul,
They may live once more.
